I was driving today and pulled into an appointment the car was working perfectly all day. Then I came out of appointment and turned my car on but it wouldn't shift out of park. The shifter button pushed down normally but when I went to pull back into reverse it felt stuck n sluggish. With the button down I could move the shifter but it was sluggish and labored. Felt like it wouldn't grab the gear. Can you help?

Have you checked the linkage to the transmission?

I haven't. I don't know anything about cars. Do you think that could really be a viable solution?

Based on your description, it sounds like something may have come apart with the linkage. So, yes, I feel it could be the issue.

Great! At least that is somewhere for me to start! Any other ideas you might have? Also do you know if that linkage is a terrably easy fix? Or its a pain in the rear I bet?

It can be a pain. Start under the hood and check where it attaches to the transmission.
