Okay my 82 k20 brake lights will not work the wiring was cut before I bought it because it had a brake booster box installed but was not finished there are 2 green wires and a black wire that has power to it if you wire the 2 green wires together they dont work if you wire the black to a green the tail lights come on like the head light switch is on (there is the same outcome which ever green wire is tied to the black) im not sure were to go from here I also cant seem to find a good wiring diagram

Dark green is for rh turnsig/brake light, yellow for lh ts/brake and brown is for both taillights. Black is ground. Those wires will not be underhood they will be under the floor mat or coming out of firewall and going to back. Clean the wires you have with choke or brake clean to find out what color they are they are not for taillights.

I think if you really could use a new harness that American auto wire makes these I don't know what shape your truck is in but you might think about it if it's kinda in classic condition. Course i'm nost sure that is the name of the company and what the costs are but it normally includes everything so it's just snap in.
