Carburetor has trouble idling but not all the time. I believe the engine is missing but I also have an exhaust leak that makes it hard to diagnose. Also when I am coming to a stop then engine sounds as if pressure is being released almost like a hissing sound

ARE YOU CAPABLE OF SEEING WHAT AND WHERE THE ON THE EXHAUST IS LEAKING? MANIFOLD GASKET. CRACKED. WHERE THE EXHAUST PIPE CONNECTS?

IF YOU CAN SHIELD IT FROM THE FAN BLOWING ---OR EVEN REMOVE THE FAN BELT FOR A MINUTE OR SO (BUT NOT LONG ENOUGH TO OVERHEAT) A THIN STRIP OF NEWSPAPER TAPED TO A PENCIL MAY FLAP AND FLOP AROUND IF PLACED NEAR THE LEAK.

IF IT'S THE GASKET--YOUR INTAKE MAY BE LEAKING TOO

IS YOUR ENGINE COMPLETE WITH ALL OF THE EMISSIONS STUFF, HOSES ETC. HAS IT BEEN MODIFIED OVER THE YEARS. DO YOU PASS EMISSION TESTING IN YOUR AREA?

DO YOU HAVE TOOLS?

ARE YOU EXPERIENCED ENOUGH TO MAKE REPAIRS. WITH OUR GUIDANCE?

CAN YOU SEND PICS OF YOUR ENGINE---3 OR 4 VIEWS FROM 3-4 FEET AWAY AND IN FOCUS?

I CAN HELP YOU WITH ALL YOU HAVE MENTIONED---IF YOU RESPOND WITH ANSWERS, AND SORTA DON'T JUMP AHEAD
