There is no black and white wire coming from voltage regulator to the alternator. There is the field wire. However there is a yellow wire coming from alternator stator lead to electric choke. Truck now has manual choke, no place to hook up to choke. Does this leave and open circuit causing system not to charge?

Tape that wire off so it is safe from shorting out, and check alternator charge rate, please advise what your charge rate is at the battery with about 1500 rpm's and head lights and heater blower on.
