Hi there, I have a 1979 Ford Econoline 100 van/w a 302 2 barrel carb. I just took it out of its winter home, and started it up. Like always it fired up, but this year, there is gas pouring out of the top 2 holes and a hose fitting on the top of the carb. Any idea what might cause this?

YOUR FLOAT IS STUCK IN THE DOWN POSITION! SOMETIMES. WHAT I SAID! SOMETIMES. YOU CAN GIVE THE TOP OF THE CARB A GOOD SCREWDRIVER HANDLE SMACK AND IT WILL RETURN TO ITS CORRECT POSITION---IF THIS WORKS, KEEP AN EYE ON IT A WHILE, JUST IN CASE. OTHER THAN THAT, IT'S "NEEDLE AND SEAT" TIME!---THE MEDIC
