REGULATOR IS BUILT INTO THIS ALTERNATOR

SHOULD GET "CAUGHT" DURING TESTING

ARE YOU CHECKING W/ A DIGITAL VOLTMETER AT THE BATTERY POSTS, AT 1800 RPM. OR ARE RELYING ON YOUR ON DASH GAUGE?

WHEN YOU GO TO THE AUTO PARTS PLACE FOR TESTING

IF THEY "RUN IT UP", AND THEY TELL YOU IT'S OK, INSIST THEY TEST A NEW ONE TO SEE IF IT HAS THE SAME RESULTS

Thanks might be a good idea, because Auto Zone Checked it three times said it was good but never increased the RPMs

IF IT'S A GIVEN THAT AT THAT RPM IT PRODUCES THAT VOLTAGE, YOUR VEHICLE IS CAPABLE OF SUSTAINING THAT RPM WHILE YOU ARE NORMAL DRIVING

I MIGHT DOUBT IT WERE A PROBLEM, HAD TOLD ME IT DOES IT AT 5500 RPM!

I HAVE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS HAD IGNITION MODULES TESTED, AND WERE SAID TO BE GOOD....ON THREE OTHER OCCASIONS HAD INSTALLED A BRAND NEW ONE (THAT WAS BAD) AND CHASED MY TAIL FOR DAYS, THINKING I HAD ANOTHER PROBLEM.

IF ANOTHER STORE IS AROUND, AT MINIMUM HAVE IT TESTED THERE, YOU CAN ALWAYS, "CHEAT THEM OUT OF A SALE", THEN REVERT BACK TO THE LESSER EXPENSIVE PLACE FOR A NEW ONE W/ A BETTER WARRANTY....IT'S A DOG EAT DOG WORLD!

THIS CRAP OF ONLY BUYING OEM PART IS A CROCK--I USED TO AT TIMES, W/ A YEAR WARRANTY---WOUND UP SPENDING THE BIG BUCKS ONCE AGAIN IN 13 MONTHS---I FIGURE IF THE PART IS FREE FOREVER, I'LL WASTE MY TIME EVERY 11 MONTHS TO PUT ON THE NEW LIFETIME WARRANTY PART IS IT CAME TO THAT!

WITH MY METHOD--I MAY HAVE TO EXPLAIN A LITTLE--THERE'S NEVER BEEN AN ARGUMENT---EVERYTHING I HAVE EVER TAKEN BACK, I LEFT WITH A NEW/REMAN ONE (WHATEVER I HAD). IN FACT WHEN MY CJ 5 NEEDS SOMETHING "THAT NORMALLY WEARS OUT", REPLACED, I SELDOM NEED MONEY

AT TIMES I HAVE RECEIVED A "IT'S NOW LOWER PRICED REFUND"....THEY REFUNDED THE DIFFERENCE, AS THE PRICE WENT DOWN OVER THE YEARS....SUCH AS THE CASE WITH 2 OF MY FUEL PUMPS....AS FAR AS PRICE INCREASE, THAT NEVER WILL FACTOR IN

SEE MY POLICY ON WARRANTY ITEMS---MY LAST RESPONSE ON JULY 7, 2011---IN THE LINK BELOW (BE SURE TO READ THE ALTERNATOR PART)
