My son did an adjustment on his automatic transmission on his 74 duster which has a 225. The one on the left hand side of his trannie. He backed it off then torqued it down to 41 pounds and oops, forgot to back it off 2 turns per the manuals instructions. Now it wont go into reverse, and if put in drive stalls the engine and the adjustment screw wont back off. Any easy fix for this problem and thanks in advance.

It is not 41 lbs it is 41 inch lbs. Big difference. The band is locked on the drum. You must get it loose and start over.

Thanks roy, looks like we will have to drop the trannie to get a better grip on the adjusting screw, and my mistake on saying LBS I did mean 41 inch LBS per the torque wrench readings :)
