Accelarater cable spapped how do I repair it?1970 beetle

The hardest part of this job is routing the cable. In the past, I have disconnected the old cable at the carb and the pedal and taped the end of the new one to the new one to route it back into place. Once in place, it is just a matter of reconnecting to the components.
