HOW DO I ADJUST THE CLUTCH?

My question is: is that normal and why would you add to the rod, would that cause the clutch to engage sooner? And should it be removed? The clutch slave cylinders rod had something on the end of it and it had threads on both ends, it looks like an extension that somebody added.

It's for clutch adjustment. Adjust that rod in and out which controls the pedal height and actuation position.
