When jacked up there appears to be nothing wrong with ball joint/bearing- nothing moves when shaken around. Car says power steering malfunction but only locks when first started, works fine when car restarts. Needs new breaks soon, however sound is present mostly when accelerating. Car also shakes pretty hard occasionally when stopping from high speeds. I plan on taking it for an alignment and brake service soon.

Car listed above is Maxx model.

Hi,

The shaking when coming to a stop is likely due to faulty brake rotors. However, the noise is something different. Is it loud enough to record and upload it for me to hear? If you are hearing a creaking, if you bounce the front of the vehicle, can you recreate it? Also, did you inspect the stabilizer bushings and links?

I attached a pic below and highlighted bushings to check. Note, when checking the control arm bushings, you will need a pry bar to check for play.

Let me know if anything is found and if you can record it.

Take care,

Joe
