How many quarts of oil

Typically five or six quarts. At an oil change, the level should be between the "Min" and "Max" marks. All engines use a little oil between oil changes, so to reduce the number of complaints about oil consumption, they no longer use "Add" and "Full". We just keep adding until it is at the proper level, generally closer to the "Max" line.
