While driving my truck shut off as if it had run out of gas. Trouble codes p0441, p0442, and p0446. I found some cracked hoses repaired them, put on new fuel filter, codes gone. It ran like a new truck one day then shut down again. It will crank wants to start but never quite engages. So far I put on new fuel filter, new fuel pump, pulled and cleaned thoroughly the spark plugs, there is no EGR valve in this motor they took it off using a kit. I bought a cam shaft position sensor cannot find any place it goes on. Dropped fuel tank cleaned it real good put injection cleaner in. Please help me I live way out of town and I have to repair my vehicles myself. I have lost over a weeks work. Tell me what you do please.

Hello,

Those are EVAP codes which will typically not keep the engine from running. I would check the engine for spark which this guide will show you how. Look toward the bottom of the guide.

If no spark is observed it sound like the crankshaft angle sensor is out (will not set a code). Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when changing the sensor out and the location for you car in the diagrams below. You can get a new sensor from Amazon.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
