1998 Toyota Tacoma car won;t start

I changed the battery and the pick up will crank but wont start. I thought it was the fuel pump and put some ignition fluid on the intake and it didn't do anything. Don.T know what to do sttoprd using it for a week and now it won't start

If it doesn't start with starting fluid, it sounds like you don't have spark to the plugs. Have you checked for that?
