Whining during accelerating and turning steering wheel

The fluid reservoir is full but turning the steering wheel and accelerating it makes a loud whining sound.

Good morning.

It sounds like you either have air in the system or a bad power steering pump.

Try turning the steering wheel left to max and holding it there for five seconds and then do it to the right for five seconds. That will bleed the system of air if that is the issue.

Otherwise, I would try flushing the system before considering replacing the pump.
