When I put it in gear and when I push on the gas it bogs down and backfires. I have replaced throttle position sensor, spark plugs, distributor cap, pick up coil and the fuel filter. I cleaned the EGR valve and the IAC valve and it still runs bad. Any help would be appreciated.

Scan for codes cross A&B on aldl turn key on and seeif any codes are present. Check compression maybe low on that on one or two cylinders.

Hi VANESSA,

Here is the guide on how to get codes,

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/buick-cadillac-chevy-gmc-oldsmobile-pontiac-gm-1983-1995-obd1-code-definitions-and-retrieval-method

Next I would check the fuel pressure, does the engine have a carb? If so check the accelerator pump wiht the engine off, look down inside the carb with a flashlight and you should see two small streams of fuel go into the engine as the throttle has opened.
