Violent shutter after a pothole on the passenger side, surprised, slowing down stops it until the next bump?

Smoked a pothole on the passenger side, surprised that airbags did not deploy.

Yep, it sounds like you bent a tie rod end or the inner tie rod from the rack and pinion which is common when this happens. You need to get under the truck and using a flashlight check the tie rod and inner tie rod out. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
