2004 Vauxhall Vectra starter circuit

2004 Vauxhall Vectra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual
2004 vectra 1.9 cdti 8v (120) engine blown. Bought engine out of salvage car 2008 vectra 1.9 cdti 16v (150) and fit. Fuel pump not working and no starter off key. Used original ecu, all ignition lights work and imobiliser light goes off ok. Does ecu need remap etc.

the original ECU is set up for your old 8V engine .. the starter should still work and fuel pump as long as the wiring is the same .. there is a 4 year difference .. but the ECU setting for fuel/air ratio EGR etc. etc.. will be totally different for a 16V engine ..you need the ECU from the donor car for the powertrain to work correctly once running again !!
