Uneven brake pad wear

It is only the front pads that are doing this, but they both have the same uneven wear pattern. I do not have a photo currently but if you imagine even tire tracks in the snow going in a circle that is what it looks like. I can get a photo if that would be better.

Were the rotors turned or replaced? And are calipers free to move sideways including pistons not frozen?

The front rotors were replaced after I picked this car up because the old rotors looked to be on their last leg, but the pads looked to be only a few days old and the calipers work fine. I had them professionally rebuilt.

So it was old pads with a new rotor? If it is that is your problem you never put old pads on new rotors or returned rotors. They picked up the initial wear from old rotors and will now wear that way.
