A few weeks ago when it was raining the car would crank over but would not start so I thought maybe it was getting moisture in the distributor. Christmas eve I went out and started it and it started right up for a few days then it happened again but it was not raining. So I checked the distributor and rotor they looked burnt so I replaced them. The car tries to turn over but will not start. We took the first wire out of the engine and put a screw driver in it to see if it was getting any spark (even held on to the metal part of the driver). I have called so many places and I cannot get it anywhere to have it checked. The check engine light is not on either.

Hello,

This sounds like a classic crankshaft angle sensor failure which will cause the engine not to run. Here is a guide that will help you see what you are in for when you are doing the job.

Here is another guide that can help as well.
