Was running real rough almost like missing and had to keep pushing gas to keep running at a stop but run good while driving and would shut down at stop now wont start but seems to want to start

First of all this makes sure the carburetor isn't flooding while it's running. Remove the air cleaner start the vehicle look inside the carburetor and see if you see fuel dribbling? There should be no signs of fuel inside the carburetor while it's running. Then bring me word.
