Transmission not going into forward gears?

Parked the vehicle and when I went back to go it would not go into drive. Drives perfectly in reverse. Prior to this it has never shown any signs of a problem. What could this possibly be?

This can be the gear range sensor not working but we need to run the codes to see what comes up.

Here is the gear range sensor so you can check it out or replace it. Also make sure the fluid is clean and full.

You might have a first gear shift solenoid that is not working as well, check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
