when I start the car, it runs rough, I have to let it run a while until it sounds like it won't stall. If I try to put it into drive and drive away, it stalls. What causes this

so your saying it goes away when its warmed up?

does it do it only when the engien is cold and outside air is cold? does it do it when the engine is warm and cold outside air?

does it do it when engien is cold and ouside air is warm 60+
does it do it when engine is warm and outside air is warM?

I just got the car, I was told that it didn't like cold. I'm in vegas so it's not realcold out. everytime I start weather doesn't matter, I have to let it warm up efore driving or it will stall.It run rough. You can hear it smooth out and then it'll be ok to drive. This happens I belive in all kinds of weather

first change the coolant temperature sensor and test the pressure of the pump and change the fuel filter.

I believe the fule filter was changed, alot of repairs were made, also new exhaust. Could it be the choke or the carb?

OOOO its carbed? i had a 87 like yours and it was electronic.

yeah if its carbed make sure the choke is down on it before starting it, push it down by hand.
