1985 Toyota Pickup Repair Question

1985 Toyota Pickup No Shift
Transmission problem
1985 Toyota Pickup 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 185000 miles
This is a 22RT engine.
When put in reverse works fine. Put in drive and goes in gear, but when I accelerate it starts out in high gear and just won't go.I can put into lo and manually shift it up and down through all gears and goes just fine. Just will not shift up or down by itself.
I checked all connections to trans. and there is nothing obviously disconnected, torn or leaking.
Fluid level is good.
Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks,Steve

Hi smpiwetz, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation
Your possibilities here could be the throttle position sensor, vehicle speed sensor, could be a sticking shifting solenoids or a valve body problem-Bring it in and have it pressure tested to find out what's going on internally
The above sensors gives the computer an input signal of the throttle pressure, governor and overdrive operation
