I have a 2001 Toyota Echo, with apx. 60,000 miles. I recently took the car in to be smogged and have an oil change as well. Passed the smog. Went to get gas, pump would not work, failed to put gas cap on tight as I simply backed up to another pump. Then check engine light came on. Went back to place who did the smog, etc. Reset code. 2 days later it came on again. Went back, they were going to run hundreds of dollars worth of tests. Decided to take it to another repair shop that I knew and TRUSTED, they found a hose that was disconnected, reset code. Everything fine til I went to get gas again, and the light came on again. Took it back to honest place they found a different code this time. Never had a problem until now, what is the deal?

it will help if u have the code
always turn car off when fueling
if u have the code that will pin point the area causing u the problem
and after fixing it that code should not come back on
but that doesnt mean u r not going to have a diff prob some where else on a diff time
