Noises problem
2009 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Automatic 20,000 miles

My husband recently changed the oil and rotated the tires in my 09 Corolla. The next day when I went to drive the car it started making the noises of a diesel truck or a helicopter when going above 35 mph. And when I slow down the noise slows. There are no vibrations, and the car rides the exact same as before. But something has definitely changed and it makes me worried that something is wrong with the oil he used, or maybe he didn't tighten a bolt all the way when rotating the tires?

What would cause a noise like this? Is this noise normal for a recent (and first) tire rotation?

Also, I asked him and he did say that he may have put too much oil in (5qts.) For a 4.1- 4.4qt. Oil tank. But, he drained some of the oil last night hoping to solve this issue. It didn't work.

Any advice?

If he used a Toyota oil filter, they have a celophane cover that must be removed before install.

Check oil level and torque on wheel nuts.

Make sure the tires are on straight and it is best to rotate RF to RR and LF to LR.

If you cannot find problem, get it to Toyota, you do not want to ruin a new car engine.
