1989 Toyota Corolla One size larger Rim and Tires safe for

Tires and Wheels problem
1989 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 147000 miles

I need new tires, but was thinking of also getting a new set of rims as well. Would one size larger or possibly an even larger size be safe for the suspension components of the vehicle. Stock rim and tire specs are 13 in. x 5 in/
155SR13. What would be the best size for the vehicle?

Thank you.

Well you are always better off staying with the factory size.

But in 1989-92 there was an optional 14" size.

But check with wheel shop, I think you can safetly go up one size in rim size and aspect ratio.
