2002 Toyota Camry my car is idling low when my A/C and defro

i just installed an injen intake system and a problem that the dealership was supposed to fix reoccured
the problem is that the car idles low when the a/c and defroster is in use
can I please have some advice?

Hi there.

There should be installed as part of the A/C fit an idle up valve. This is a VSV valve and an air by pass valve fitted with an adjuster. It is attached to the end of the Manifold and the VSV valve is on the fire wall. When the A/C is turned on the VSV (vacuum switching valve) operates increasing the idle speed.

This vehicle is equiped with drive by wire and the throttle plate is controlled via a small electric motor.

This is a common issue with this model. Try cleaning the throttle blade with the key off. Usually this fixes it but worse case would be to replace the throttle body.
