When I am driving, my car steering shakes.I have recently done oil change and air filter change on 5th July, 2010 and when I have asked this question, the showroom advisor has informed me that because of the tyres which are uneven, the steering shakes.

Please let me know if there will be any other reason why the steering shakes or is it a major repair?

I just purchased this car in June, 2010 and when I have done complete inspection at the Toyota service center, they have not mentioned anything about this problem.

Hello,

There are several factors for a steering wheel to shake while driving.
It could be out of balance tire(s). It could be any suspension component, like control arms, struts etc.
Does it shake while you are at a constant speed, or while you brake or accelerate?

Have you had the tires balanced recently?
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.
