I have renewed cap, rotor, wires, checked resistance on primary coil and voltage with ignition switch on at both terminals to ground(12V), checked primary coil positive to high tension and again well within spec, pick up coil - all coil readings are well within the spec given in Haynes repair manual. I had a similar problem about a year ago & replaced the distributor & was OK for last 10 months. When this started about a month ago after a day or two it would start right up then not start after overnight sitting - that was bad as not able to investigate problem, now cranks but not firing at all - only thing I have not replaced is ignitor assembly - any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

Seems to me that you know how to check the ignition system on this Toy. Bottom line now is the ignitor operational?

How do I check the status of the ignitor assy - and if new one needed where can I purchase such?
Its not the small assy located next to the distributor, this is located behind the windshield washer tank.

Test the ignitor by using the haynes manual or swap with a known good one and see what happens-everything checks out this is the last one. The location of the ignitor is in the haynes book for your yr/model.
