Just replaced my front rotors and brakes pads. Easy job, no problems. However, now when the truck is over 40mph, the brakes grab and release. Doesn't matter if I hit the brakes soft or hard - I get a strong vibration. Under 40mph, there seems to be little problem. My tires are in excellent condition with 50K + miles. No sign of an alignment problem.

What should I be looking at now?
Thanks for your help.

Hi joef9000,

Check the rotors again, could be improperly seated due to foreign materials or rust. Next possibility is badly out of lateral rotors.

Thanks. I will pull it all apart again tomorrow. One thing I did not check is the trueness of the rotors. Being brand new, of middle range quality, I just pulled them from the box, cleaned everything, and then installed. Maybe I should have had them checked/turned 1st.
Again, thanks for your advice.
Joe
