Good morning.

Yes it does have a timing belt. It calls for inspection every 30,000 but I recommend replacements at 60,000.

30,000 miles Inspect. 60,000 miles Inspect. 90,000 miles Inspect. 105,000 miles replace.

It is an involved process to change the belt and the water pump and thermostat are recommended as well since the water pump is driven off the belt.

Is this something you want to try yourself? If you do, let me know and we can post the procedures for you for this repair. I see you have the knowledge but not a tech.

Thanks Roy for you help. I have had this done on my Integra a time or two.
But my cousin just received her dads car and it has I think 153,000.
Is it an interference motor also?

Yes, it is an interference motor.

You must be careful aligning the marks as you can do valve damage.
