Sorry, I had tried posting a long form question a few times but it never went through. So here is more info:

In cold temperatures (below freezing ) transmission takes a long time to shift into reverse or drive, usually 5 seconds or so but has taken up to 30-45 in really cold weather (-25c).

Once driving its pretty good except it slips going into third until its fully warmed up, then it drives just fine.

I’ve read these solenoids can become dirty and cleaned or replaced and is often a fix for the condition I am experiencing. If it was a relatively accessible part I figured it was worth giving cleaning a try.

Thank you this is great. So I had a flush done with the machine but they didn't do the filter, I will have to look further into that.

I tried looking up the transaxle connector location but cannot find anything. Also I gave it my best shot to find it on the tranny but cant find it, it may be burried. I appreciate the help and dont mean to keep pestering but do you happen to have a reference for the location of the connector.
