Hello,
About 6 weeks ago my check engin sign went on while i was on the freeway and was blinking i stopped the car the smell of unused gas was prevlant and my mechanic said it was spark plugs. Changed the plugs and sent me on my way. The next week only on the freeway i happened again this tim without the smell. I coudn't afford to gt it checked out again so i just avioded the freeway. My car ran fine, no problems. Today on the freeway again it did the same thing ith the smell of unused gas. What is going on?

You need to find out why the light came on
The only way to know why your Check Engine light is on is to connect a scan tool or code reader to the OBD II diagnostic connector.
If you do not have a code reader or scan tool to do this yourself, you can take your car to an auto parts store for a free diagnosis (Autozone & Advance Auto
are currently offering this).
Write the code down and get back to 2carpro.com.
