I have a car that just started knocking after I put new water pump and radiator in. Car feels like its losing compression and wont pick up speed. I have be checked bottom of engine for wholes or leaks none, but one from rear main seal other then that nothing at all fluid wise under the car. There are no holes in th oil pan either. Car still starts and drives just in and out of yard. But what could this be? It is drving me crazy trying to find this out. Help please, thanks

With something like this the knock can be anything it is best to have it checked locally. If the knock is loud your oil pressure should be low all the time not climb when revved up.

Hey Tall,

It sounds like something might have gotten into the intake system and done some damage. I would start with a compression test first, here is a guide on how to do it.

Can you upload a video to youtube of the noise so we can get a better idea on what the problem is?

Post the URL in your reply.

Please let us know what you find so it will help others.

Best, Ken
