Starting the engine

When turning the ignition I'm hearing the beginning sound of the crank but it is not turning over to start the engine, can you tell me what can be causing this?

Check battery for condition including load test make sure terminal ends are clean on battery and if it has anti theft try resetting it or another key. Also check starter relay for corrosion
