I did not used my vehicle for one week because I was out of town. When I first tried to start it when I came back, the started took two tries to start up. Normally I never had this problem in the past. Now every time I start up the car is the same thing or takes more than two time to start. The battery was replaced two months ago, I tested the battery and everything was good. I have never had a problem with my vehicle. I do not have the money to spend on my car. I just want some ideas of what might be causing it.

Hello and welcome to 2CarPros. Cars don't like to sit. When they do, little things start to happen. Little things that were already happening become more pronounced. It probably just needs to be cleared out and then driven around for a day or two. Try disconnecting the battery for twenty minutes, then reconnect it. Start it. If it has a hard time idling, do not be alarmed. This is normal for a used car. The computer has been cleared out and has to go through a "relearning" procedure to know what adjustments to make in order to idle the engine. You might have to manually idle it (giving it a just enough gas to keep running) for a few minutes. Once it reliably holds idle, go for a ride. Put some fresh gas in it. If it's not better after a few days, let me know by replying to this thread and we'll get into deeper diagnostics. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

Harry.

Thank you, I took the battery out for thirty minutes yesterday and when I put it back, it worked the car started as used to before. Thank you so much! I was alarmed that I had to pay for a simple diagnostic.
