This is a P71 dash cluster and I would like to know how or best way to reprogram the dash cluster to read correct mileage on speedometer and odometer using a NGS or other like tool or where to go or how to get this done. There was a rear end change from a 2.73 to a 3.73, so I am thinking with the change it would be good for the VSS to be accurate. And so the shift points and speed and mileage would reflect the actual. Can you help?

A dealer has to reprogram the dash and PCM due to the rear end change of a different gear ratio. they are the only ones that are able to do that.

Funny how the local dealer says they cannot and if have to send cluster out cause it is a cop car. I have worked for Ford dealers for twenty years. And what there telling me is false. I know an NGS can do that. And it is not difficult heal I ghave done it many times mostly on SUV'and pickups. Granted never did it on a p71. But thank you.

It may be the people that work there, the dash speedometer is VIN number protected so it may be a little harder with a cop car.
