Idle and revs up fine in park but slow acceleration for first 100 ft or so, then at times most if not all power is restored when reaching speeds of about 30 MPH or so.

Hi,

This could be a fuel-related issue, an exhaust issue, a fuel pressure, or sensor related issue. Is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running?

If the engine light is staying on or flashing, you need to have the computer scanned for codes. That will help point us in the right direction.

If there is no check engine lamp, I have a few questions. First, is this the original engine with 400K on it? Have you noticed any gray or black smoke from the exhaust? Are there any odd sounds from the exhaust system?

Take a look at this link:

Let me know. Also, if you have a live data scan tool, when the engine is cold, check the coolant temperature sensor signal. It should be close to the outside temperature. Also, check the short-term fuel trims with the engine at idle and at operating temperature.

Take a look through this link and let me know if anything mirrors what you experience:

Let me know.

take care,

Joe
