Last year had thermostat replaced, this year coolant sensor replaced. Worked for a few weeks, the other day warning came on again. But vehicle is not getting hot, disconnected battery cable and it cleared it, tonight have not driven it all day started up and immediately warning came on after five seconds.

Good morning.

What was the code that was set? Clearing does absolutely nothing as the issue needs attention and repair.

The AC is disabled when the engine temperature gets too high. That is built into the strategy of the software in the truck.

That is a code for lean running. Has nothing to do with your issue.

As I stated before it is due to the engine running hot.

You need to find the reason for the engine running hot. Once you do that and repair it the message will stop appearing.

Like last night SUV sat all day went to move it last night and immediately warning light came on. Surely it did not overheat in five seconds, this morning drove twenty miles perfect.
Thanks for your help.

Okay, then we need to see the high and low side gauge readings of the A/C system with it running.

The pressures may be off causing the issue but need those readings.
