I get an error code of P0742 which has me believe the solenoid might be bad. Some things that happen are when I get close to fully stopping the car feels like it is going to stall and sometimes it does stall out and I have to restart. Also, when I put the car in park it revs up to 2000 plus rpm, never over 2500 though. Also, when I brake it feels as if the car wants to keep going (pushes) and it makes me have to brake harder than normal. It will also idle rev a little above 1000 so it slightly jumps forward when I release the brake. If it is the TCC solenoid I cannot buy it online Saturn went out of business. So how would I buy it from a dealer? Or what else could be wrong with it?

The connector going to the transmission right under the battery with a bolt holding it in. That is the connector that goes to the valve body and goes to the transmission actuators. On the side of the connector that has the head of the bolt on it there are letters to identify the wires. Terminals e and K is the TCC actuator. Take the connector off the valve body by loosening up the bolt Then at the valve body measure the resistance with the multi meter between pins E and K. Should be around 4.5 ohms let me know what you find. You can buy a aftermarket solenoid or a factory one on eBay.
