2000 Saturn SL1 4 cyl Automatic

Okay so my dad is a mechanic and he is fixing a 2000 saturn. It cranks but wont start. We have switch the ingition module, computer and the crank sensor. None of this things worked. We checked for sparks and when we turn the key there is only like one spark but then it just turns off then 5 seconds later we see another spark after that it goes away. My dad said that there is no signal going to the injection system. We also got this codes but we dont know what they mean. P0410-secondary air injection system, p0562-system voltage low, p0603-PCM keep alive memory error/reset, p0747-pressure control solenoid stuck on, p0748-pressure control solenoid electrical, p0789-shift timing solenoid intermittent, p1599-CC power management mode of engine stall, p1626-anti theft system fuel enable circuit, p1631- theft system password incorrect, help please

First of all thank you so much for your donation. If you changed the computer was it a used one? Also was the same yr and model? When you change the computer you have to relearn the pass lock sensor. When the pass lock is set of it turn's of the injector pulse. You need to work on the two code's P1631 and P1626 first i would like to get the engine running first then worry about the other code's.Also the code P0562 system voltage the alternator and battery have to be tested. You can only check the battery right now since the car doesn't run.I posted trouble tree's for P1631 and P1626 follow them and let me know what you find. Also try learning the pass lock the instruction's are on the trouble tree.

Okay so how do we relearn the passlock sensor? Yes the computer was a used one and was the same model and year. Can the problem be that we didnt relearn the passlock sensor. Are the codes p1626 and p1631 one of the problems why the engine is not starting? Yeah because we just want it to start to and we'll worry about the other codes later

So I tried the 30 min thing. The problem is that after 10 min the SECURITY light wont turn offf. Right now the car has the computer that it had at first cux my dad took the used one out again. Do we have to put another computer and BCM and then try the 30 min thing. Somebody told my dad that he might have to replace the whole dashboard and then program the car or something like that

Alright if the pass lock doesn't learn then you have to use the trouble tree's for the 1600 code's I posted. There is no instant answer here as far as replacing the whole dash that won't be the case maybe the bcm. But your going to have to do the test's to figure that one out. Let me know what you find.

Sorry i thought i posted the P1626 you will need a professional scanner to see if you can talk to the bcm.Not your average code scanner that only read's engine and transmission code's.

Okay. So are these codes the reason why the engine is not starting? My dad has a solus pro/snap-on scanner is that a professional one or no?

If your pass lock won't learn and your security light stay's on solid then that's one reason your car won't start when that happens it disables the injector pulse like you said is happening. The spark I don't know whats up there just yet. But we need to address the p1626 first because that deals with the bcm and that deals with the pass lock. As far as that snap on scanner I don't know much about those we used the tech2 at the dealer loaded with the saturn factory software.I have used the older mt2500 I think it was a few times but that's about it. The one your talking about is a professional one but depending on what year it was made and what software it has it may or may not read the bcm. Try hooking it to the car and scroll thru the menu select your make and model and see if it gives you the option of reading data display or code's from the bcm. Then you would know if it did or didn't read the bcm. Then you could follow the trouble tree.
