[quote:8b0366fdb4="tsterner"]Hi Louie,
The whole thing needs replaced.$62.99 at Advance Auto, and 35 at salvage yard. Just by looking,I think the mounting bracket would be the best way to take it off, probably the only way to do it. It looks as though the bracket only has two bolts holding it to the block. Its snowing here again in Pa.,and that puts a crimp on a back-yard mechanic, especially one that is handycapped like me. If there is an easier way to do this task or if you have any thing in your bag of tricks that would help, please pass it along. Thanks again for all your help and hope you and yours are well.

well ben theres nothing in my bag of tricks on this one but ur right theres only two bolts holding it there 10mm.the best way to replace it is turn the wheel all way to the right.then remove the foward splash shield closest to the front of the car.then u will need a floor jack get a small piece of 2"x4" and put that between the floor jack and the pan.jack the jack up till in touchs the oil pan firmly.then take out the 5 15mm nuts off the upper engine mount.now take the mount out u may have to jack the motor up more.now jack the motor up and remove the top bolt from the tensionar now lower the engine all the way down.remove the bottom bolt and the tensionar put the new tensionar in start the bottom bolt by hand dont tighten it.raise the engine up and start the top bolt by hand now tighten it up.lower the engine back down tighten up the bottom bolt.now raise up the engine back up route the belt around all the pulleys even the tensionar except the alternator.now get a wrench and push the tenisionar down put the belt on the alternator.reinstall the upper mount and the side splash panel.i would go with the new tensinar good luck let me know how it goes.
