Noise while braking as well as pulsing pedal 2001 L300

Hello I have a 2001 saturn L300 with 178,000 km on it. It had weak braking power and a rhythmic grinding noise but no pedal pulse. It wasn't that bad but I replaced the front rotors and pads. and almost right after the rhythmic noise reappeared but much worse and the pedal pulsates upon braking. the steering wheel doesn't move though...so I couldn't say warped rotors...and the noise is only under normal braking so I ruled out wheel bearings.
any suggestions??

Did you replace only the front brakes? What about the rears?
