Hello and Thank you for your response in advance. Suddenly one day my car refused to start. I checked the usuals - battery, spark etc. Battery is fine, enough spark from the spark coils. Had a mechanic check and he said there is very low compression, need a new engine. Had a second Mechanic to look and he said its ICM. Had old ICM tested and it is fine. Towed the car to PepBoys and they said car is losing compression somwhere. There is only about 40 psi compression in 3 cylinders and only 25 in one. They recommend a rebuilt/used engine.

I never experienced any problem before - no loss of power, no starting or acceleration issues - nada. Could the engine go out just like that?
