I have a 1997 Saturn SL2 sedan. I'm not sure if the clutch is slipping or if something else is going on. It goes into gear fine, but when I release the clutch there is no power. It takes off very slowly, I have to shift quickly, and its causing the engine to rev faster then normal. Its worse depending on the whether the road is flat or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Have someone depress the clutch while you watch the slave rod, it should move 3/4-1" and then release back to rest position.
If it does this then the clutch would probably need replacing.
If not then the actuator rod in the trans. May be binding.
You are most likely going to have to remove the trans. And inspect/replace the clutch or actauting assembly.
