2001 Saturn L200 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic? Miles

I bought a 2001 Saturn L200 @ my local auction in July 2010, and the dash was cracked where it is to read the miles on the car, so I replaced the odometer cluster and everything works except the part that adds up up the miles it just stays the same. The car runs great and I could care less, but this must be fixed in order for it to pass md inspection. What do you think it could be? I heard the BCM may need reprogrammed? I heard it could be a cable or sensor? What do you recommend. Please email me or call me @ 443-452-2342 or 301-992-9474

The cluster is just a display for the mileage the bcm store's the mileage and display's it thru the cluster. Does everything else work like the power door lock's key less entry gas gauge inside light's etc?What mileage does the car display?

The key less entry does not work and the miles read 69,695 and will not move at all but everything else works?

If the speedometer work's and the odometer doesn't advance then I would suspect the bcm is bad. Really common for the bcm's to go bad on those car's and have odometer issue's.I would take it to the dealer and have them look at it since they need to reprogram the bcm with the correct mileage and option's anyways.
