Truck started running rough and stalling. We put a scanner on it and code P1391. So we replaced the crankshaft sensor. Did not change anything. Then we replaced the cam sensor. No change. Replaced timing chain and gears. No change. Checked all grounds and wires.
Any idea of what else it could be?

P1391 - Intermittent Loss of CMP or CKP

The sensors are good suspects, but for intermittent loss of signal, a wiring problem is more likely. The way I would approach this is to connect the Chrysler DRB3 scanner and watch which signal switches from "present" to "no" when the running problem occurs. Once you know which sensor signal is missing, check its signal wire and connector terminals.
