Three leaf or four what is the difference in height? How can I tell if it is time to replace them?

Three or four leafs can be the same height. It has more to do with load carrying capacity. The four leaf may be higher, but it depends on the type of spring more than anything.

Is your vehicle really low? Are the springs more straight than bent? Has the truck been used for over capacity all the time?
