Online the Wikipedia for the 1995-2005 Chevrolet Astro van says that the chassis and drive-train for these year models are the same as the c-k 1500 Silverado truck if that is true would the rear end out of the Astro van interchange with a 1988 Chevrolet Cheyenne C-1500 and if not why?

The 1988 did not use a 7 1/2 ring gear rear end it used a 81/2, and three others, plus the spring perches were to wide because of a being a pick up as well as shock location on a pick up is one in front and one in rear, Astro has both in rear.
