Transmission is leaking ATF profusely?

My vehicle listed above XLT, is leaking ATF profusely. Crawled under it while it was idle and when gas was pressed ATF poured out of the flywheel housing through the starter. Common sense tells me that there is a crack in the housing, or the flywheel gasket is leaking very badly. Also, since the ATF is pouring out it seems that the vehicle only wants to go forward even when in neutral.

This is the best I can describe verbally. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

This happens when the torque converter seal or front pressure pump O ring starts to leak. In either case the transmission will need to be removed and the seals replaced. This video will show you what you are in for when removing the transmission and instructions in the image below will show you how to do the job on your car.

Once the transmission is out you can have it resealed by a transmission shop as well.
